BMS Entrance Coaching
 
The University of Delhi runs the BMS degree program under the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences & Humanities. An outstanding general management programme, the curriculum for BMS is rigorous, flexible and continually enriched with the latest developments in management theory and practice. The academic calendar is based on six semesters, each six months in duration, followed by University exams. The first two semesters lay the basic foundations. Covering core disciplines like statistics, Economics, Organizational Behaviour and Financial Accounting. The development of management theory as well as marketing are traced back almost a century as part of the syllabus.
The second year builds on the first and introduces the students to topics like Market Research, Cost Accounting, Business law, Financial Management and Human Resource Management. The last two semesters chiefly consist of electives depending on one’s specialisation. Options for specialisation include Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Management. In all students are required to do 24 compulsory papers and 6 electives. Students can opt for optional non-credit courses if they so wish.

Step One: Appeared/ Passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ WW/ Physically Challenged Categories) in four papers including English. Rest of the papers may be Accountancy, Biology, Biotechnology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Geography, History, Informatics Practices, Introductory Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Secretarial Practices, Social Science, Sociology.

The examination, spread over about two hours, will consist of sections dealing with Business Aptitude (40 questions) and General Awareness (20 questions); Quantitative Aptitude (30 questions) and Reasoning Ability (30 questions), and Proficiency in English (30 questions).

Step Two: The Group Discussion and interview: Based on the performance in the written examination, selected candidates (approximately three times the number of seats for the relevant categories) shall be called for group discussion and interview to be held during last week of June/first week of July.
